Believe

TGIF!

I have another Christmas card today for this week's Merry Monday 97 challenge featuring another one of those stamps  in my not-yet-used-basket, Hero Arts Wreath of Leaves.

I started out by stamping the wreath onto white cardstock in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  I placed several sequins in two shades of aqua and silver sequins centered with aqua jewels onto various spots on the wreath. The sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas Believe set was stamped with Stampin' Up Bahama Bay ink onto a skinny tag that I tied some silver thread through. I wish all my cards came together as easily as this one!

Products: Hero Arts stamp, The Cat's Pajamas stamp, PTI cs, Darice and Lawn Fawn sequins, Kaisercraft jewels, Paper Source thread, Stampendous embossing powder, Stampin' Up and Versamark inks

Have a great weekend!

TCP Tuesday - Go For the Gold

It's TCP Tuesday again. In honor of the recent Olympics, Lori has challenged us to create a project that includes something gold.

Gold is very trendy right now. I picked up some American Crafts gold glittery paper and  matching ribbon from Paper Source at Christmas so I was all set to go for the gold. I stamped the Bubble Therapy image onto Copics X-Press It cardstock and then cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie. I stamped the bubbles portion of the image again and after coloring the edges with Copic Markers, I fussy cut out and then added Ranger Diamond Stickles. I stamped the bathtub portion of the image onto the gold glitter paper with Stazon ink, fussy cut out and adhered to the main image. I then layered on the previously finished bubbles portion. All the patterned papers from the Teresa Collins Family Stories pad. I stamped the sentiment onto one of the papers and cut into a banner shape, placing it over the gold ribbon. Lastly, I added a bit of gold thread behind the bow and a few pink and gold sequins.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Teresa Collins dp, Paper Source ribbon, Ranger Stickles, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: R0000, R00, R30, R32, B41, B32, N3, N5

Our Time Together

I created today's card for the February Reverse Confetti Color Challenge of cranberry, light blue and gray. I actually pulled out another stamp set to work with but for some reason it just wasn't coming together for me. I laid those stamped pieces aside and started over with the Go Together set instead.

I cut the gray scalloped piece with the Reverse Confetti Love Note die and the plain blue cardstock with a Spellbinders Nestie. I stamped the sentiment onto the blue piece with black ink and then the second sentiment onto the white banner piece cut with the Reverse Confetti Tag Me die set using Stampin' Up Raspberry Ripple ink. I layered the large heart cut with another die from the Love Note set with linen thread and then a chipboard clock piece. Another sentiment was stamped onto a thinner banner piece anchored by a smaller heart also cut with a die from the Love Note set. A couple of matted Doodlebug enamel dots finished up the clean and simple design. The gray solid and herringbone paper came from the Echo Park Yours Truly pad and the cranberry came from the Carta Bella Winter Fun pad.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Echo Park and Carta Bella dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Heidi Swapp chipboard clock, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Simon Says and Stampin' Up inks

It seems like I am always creating but not things I can post on the blog. Lots of design team work that I can't show you just yet, plus I have been spending some time reorganizing and purging my stamps. I just work an hour or so a day on the organizing so it's slow but steady. Dies are next and I'm really dreading that as I'm still undecided how I want to proceed.

A Holly Jolly Christmas

It's warmed up considerably around here so it feels strange to be doing Christmas cards. I am sure going to be happy in December though when I have a whole pile of cards to mail!

Today's card is for this week's Merry Monday (#96) challenge to include holly on a project. I went very clean and simple using the CAS-ual Fridays Merry Kiss-mas stamp set. I started out by stamping the round sentiment using Archival Ink in Vermillion and then cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie. I stamped the holly image in the center of the sentiment and colored it with Copic markers. I stamped the holly image a second time and after coloring with Copics, I fussy cut out. I layered it over the center holly image, using dimensional dots on the tips to give the leaves some lift. I substituted Kaisercraft pearls for the berries. The patterned paper came from the Webster's Pages It's Christmas pad.

Products: CAS-ual Fridays stamps, Webster's Pages dp, Kaisercraft pearls, Michael's ribbon, Archival and Memento inks, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Makers
Copics: G20, G24, G28

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

A Letter to Santa

I have another Christmas card today using a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp that I did not get a chance to use during the holiday season.  This week's Merry Monday (MM#95) challenge to include an animal on a project provided the perfect excuse to ink it up.

After stamping A Letter to Santa onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, I cut out the image with Spellbinders Nestabilities and then colored with Copics. I paired the image up with patterned papers from one of my very favorite Christmas pads, Carta Bella Merry and Bright that is at least two years old now. I stamped the sentiment from the set onto patterned paper and cut into a flag shape.

Products: Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, Carta Bella dp, PTI buttons, Martha Stewart paper doily, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Animals/Ribbon-E50, E51, E53, W00, E81, R20, E41, E42, E44, E49, R22, R24, R27, YG11, YG13, YG17; Mailbox-C00, C1, C3; Snow-W00, E81; Shadows-BG0000, BG000, BG10

I love this stamp so you can expect to see it repeated at some point. Thanks for stopping by.

Coffee and Cream

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I have a non-traditional Valentine's Day card for you today. I used the February Sketch for You to Try #9 challenge for the layout which is due today! Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?

I am using my newest Reverse Confetti stamp set Go Together to piece together the sentiment which I stamped onto Bazzill cardstock (Peanut Cluster) cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. Part of the sentiment was stamped onto a flag shape cut from patterned paper and I anchored it with a heart cut with the Reverse Confetti Love Note die set.  I used the C.C. Designs Cocoa and Coffee Cutters dies to cut the two coffee to go cups. I kept things clean and simple trying not to girly it up since it is for my husband. And wouldn't you know it? The first time in forever I don't use lumpy embellishments and I'm not even mailing it. Go figure!

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and die, Echo Park dp, Bazzill  and PTI cs, C.C. Designs Cutters, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81

I am also submitting this for Catered Crop's Heart of the Matter Recipe Swap.

I hope you are with the people you love today.

Merry and Bright

I'm glad to be tucked in my house safe and warm today. I hope it is the same for you and your loved ones.

I have another Christmas card for you. I am loving that there are Christmas challenge blogs throughout the year as they give me a chance break out some holiday related stamps and dies and that I never got the chance to use very much in December. In some cases, not at all really. It makes me feel less guilty!

Today's card is a simple one using the current Festive Friday #24 challenge photo as inspiration. I used the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3 die to create a cutout from a rectangular piece of American Crafts silver glitter paper. I then used patterned paper from the Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland pad underneath. I cut the banner piece from white glitter cardstock using a die from the Reverse Confetti Tag Me set and then placed the "merry" word cut from American Crafts gold glitter paper with the Simon Says Merry Christmas dies. I wrapped some Hemptique cord around the piece and then added a button and some gold thread. I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Bring on the Merry set directly onto the cardstock background using Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink. A few gold and and silver sequins finished it up.

That's it for today. I hope to see you back here soon.

Cocoa and Marshmallows

Although I am totally over the winter season, I have a wintery card for you today. I created it for the current Curtain Call Cuppa Cocoa challenge

I loved the colors as well as the imagery in the inspiration photo. I created a collage for my main image panel using an assortment of stamps and dies. I combined the sentiments from the Reverse Confetti Go Together stamp set with the Coffee Cup image and cocoa sentiment from the C.C. Designs Coffee and Cocoa Logos set. The coffee cup/marshmallows was cut with the the matching C.C Cocoa and Coffee Cutters die. The word cocoa was stamped onto an arrow cut with The Cat's Pajamas Talk to Me CutUps. I also used some old Stampin' Up Alphabits and 1/4 square punch to spell out marshmallows which were attached to a banner shape cut with a die from the Reverse Confetti Tag Me set. The row of hearts was cut with a piece from the Reverse Confetti Love Note die set. The patterned papers came from the Bo Bunny Woodland Winter pad. A trio of Studio Calico wood veneer hearts provided the finishing touch.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, C.C. Designs stamp and dies, Bo Bunny dp, PTI and Bazzill cs, Studio Calico wood veneer hearts, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps

Have a great weekend!
